His co-angler Jon Jezierski gave him the Strike King Sexy Dawg given to him by Japanese pro Kenta Kimura. Kimura modified the bait by adding SuspenDots (adhesive lead dots) and replacing the stock hooks with ultra-sharp Japanese hooks. The dots, added to the belly, made the bait sit lower in the water.
