Brandon McNamara signed with Carson Newman University before the start of the weigh-in. McNamara attended the 2021 High School Combine (finished 13th overall), 2021 and 2022 High School All-State Team and a Bassmaster Junior Series National Champion.
"Gary The Official Goose of College Bass" who rode alongside Mason Gross and Braden Thompson. They claim the goose brought them good luck as they shared the same area with winners Blake Bullock and John Mark Berry during both days of competition.
