Take a tour of 2022 Bassmaster Kayak Series competitor Marks Edwards' tournament rig.The West Virginia native fished out of a Native Watercraft Titan Propel 12 in the 2022 Yamaha Rightwaters Bassmaster Kayak Series powered by Tourney X.
There's no fancy shallow-water anchor on Edwards' kayak as he just uses a 5-pound dumbbell weight to keep his kayak positioned.The bow of the kayak is home to a spacious rod locker where he stores up to 20 rods at times.This compartment also has enough room to store his Dakota Lithium battery (not pictured).
A high framed seat keeps Edwards at a great vantage point. He also mentioned that he loves the comfort of the seat as well.His Humminbird Helix 9 is mounted with a Ram Mount on the port side of the kayak.Behind the seat, Edwards keeps a large yellow Bass Pro Shops water bag. This bag is home to his soft plastics.
Another two bags are also stuffed full of soft plastics.The rear of the kayak is home to a Yak Attack Original Black Pack where he stores all of his hard baits and terminal tackle.Also mounted on the rear of the kayak is a Yak Attack Omega Pro Rod Holder.
Edwards pulls out a bag full of his favorite vibrating jig trailers.His go-to is a Strike King Rage Twin Tail Menace Grub.Who doesn't love a bag full of spinnerbaits?
Edwards shows off his box full of terminal tackle. “I’ve been collecting stuff in this box since I started fishing,” he said.Edwards' Yak Attack Black Pack hosts two sets of rod holders that he can easily access from his seat.One of Edwards' favorite combos is an older Shimano Curado 200 paired up with a custom rod built from a local rod builder.
